Gathering In: Parables for the Harvest - Yr A
This worship art pack, or sermon series pack, can be used any time you are using harvest-themed parables. But we will be using it especially with the following plan in mind:
Gathering In. Parables for the Harvest.
In September and October, we see farmers gathering in the harvest. Apples are being picked, sweet corn is sold on the roadstands, grapes are harvested and pressed. As Jesus taught his disciples and warned others about God’s final harvest season at the end of time, he used parables. The setting for these parables were often farms and vineyards at harvest time. This fall at St. Paul’s, we’ll learn from these often surprising parables of the harvest. Jesus wants us to gather around his word so that he can ultimately gather us in his heavenly harvest.
