To Timothy Series

When is the last time you received a personal letter in the mail from a friend? You probably get more emails every day than you can handle, but it is special to get a handwritten letter from someone who cares about you. A young pastor named Timothy received such a letter from the Apostle Paul. Through that letter, Timothy, and now all of us, receive strength and encouragement, because this is not only a letter from Paul, it is the very Word of God!  For the first three weeks of October, we will be studying Paul’s first letter to Timothy, following the Epistle lessons for our sermons. Our worship theme is “To Timothy.” Paul reminds us to show mercy because we have a merciful Savior. He invites us to pray, knowing that our God truly wants all people to be saved. He encourages us to be content with the gifts God has given us and fight the good fight of faith. Join us at St. Paul’s this October. God will encourage you, just as he encouraged Timothy. You can find the coordinating art here.
